Request deletion of Aether Run data

Aether Run is operated under the Mistrail Games name. You do not need an account to play Aether Run.

Delete your active leaderboard data

If you are using the same browser or Android WebView storage where you joined the Aether Run leaderboard, the button below is the preferred deletion method. It uses the secret anonymous leaderboard identity already stored here only to authenticate a same-origin deletion request to Aether Run. The secret token is not displayed and is not sent by email.

New Android WebView builds have separate website storage from Chrome or another browser used by older Trusted Web Activity builds. An app update does not transfer that browser's progress, personal bests, preferences, nickname, leaderboard identity, or blocked-player list into the WebView. This button deletes only the active leaderboard record tied to the identity available in the browser or WebView where you press it. To delete an older browser record, open this page in that original browser or use the email request option below. Updating the app does not delete the older browser data or its leaderboard record.

This removes your current active leaderboard record. Your active leaderboard nickname, score, distance, and associated pseudonymous leaderboard identifier will be removed from the active leaderboard store. If you choose to join the leaderboard again later, a new record can be created.

After a successful self-service deletion, this page also attempts to remove the saved Aether Run leaderboard profile from the current browser or WebView and tells you if local removal could not be confirmed. That local profile contains the anonymous leaderboard identity, saved leaderboard nickname, Community Rules acceptance for the leaderboard, and local leaderboard block list. Other local game progress and personal bests are not removed by this button.

If you no longer have the original browser or device

Email mistrailgames@gmail.com with the subject Aether Run data deletion request. You may include public information such as your leaderboard nickname and approximate score or distance to help locate the record.

Public nickname, score, and distance information does not by itself prove ownership. Mistrail Games may request additional non-secret context and may be unable to delete a specific record if ownership cannot reasonably be verified without risking deletion of another player's data.

Do not send passwords, private keys, authentication tokens, browser-generated leaderboard tokens, or other secret information by email.

What is deleted

For an authenticated self-service deletion, or a manual request whose record and ownership can reasonably be verified, Mistrail Games removes the active leaderboard entry used by Aether Run, including the stored nickname, score, distance, and associated pseudonymous leaderboard identifier used for that active record.

What may remain

Moderation reports: an existing moderation report may retain the reporter and target pseudonymous identifiers, selected reason, and the nickname, score, and distance snapshot recorded when the report was created for up to 90 days, unless it is removed earlier during moderation handling. Deleting the active leaderboard record does not automatically delete an existing moderation report.

Moderation restrictions: if a leaderboard identity is subject to an active moderation restriction, a pseudonymous suppression identifier may be retained while that restriction remains in effect. That suppression record does not contain the removed nickname, score, or distance.

Temporary security and deletion-safety records: short-lived rate-limit, run-verification, and moderation-report deduplication records expire automatically. A deletion-safety marker based on the deleted pseudonymous leaderboard identifier remains for slightly more than 24 hours so an already-open Aether Run session using the old identity cannot immediately recreate the deleted row. These are not permanent leaderboard records.

Reward verification records: if you used or started the optional Android rewarded continuation, short-lived reward-request and verification records may remain temporarily for security, retry handling, and replay prevention. Pending requests expire after about one hour; resolved request/run records may remain for up to 24 hours, and a pseudonymous AdMob transaction identifier used to reject replay may remain for up to 30 days.

Provider records: Upstash may maintain provider-managed snapshots or backups for a limited period according to its service configuration and policies. Vercel may separately retain technical hosting or security logs, and aggregated analytics records may remain. Mistrail Games does not use backup copies for normal leaderboard display.

Other local game data

Game progress, personal bests, and other website-origin game data are stored locally in the browser or Android WebView where they were created. They are not active server-side leaderboard records. Browser data can generally be removed through browser storage controls; WebView data is part of the Android app's storage and can be removed through Android app storage controls. Clearing app storage also removes native age and advertising-privacy preferences and does not clear Chrome's separate storage. Aether Run has no account synchronization or automatic transfer between these stores.
