MISTRAIL GAMES

Community Rules & User Terms

Version 2026-09-23

These rules apply to public leaderboard nicknames in Aether Run. By checking the agreement box and joining the global leaderboard, you agree to follow them.

Keep public nicknames safe

Do not use a nickname that contains or promotes hate or discrimination, harassment or bullying, threats or violence, sexually explicit or obscene material, illegal or dangerous activity, impersonation intended to mislead, another person's private information, spam, advertising, or attempts to evade moderation controls.

Do not use a nickname to target, shame, intimidate, or abuse another person. Do not include passwords, authentication tokens, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, school information, or other sensitive personal information.

Online safety and younger players

Public nicknames can be seen by other Aether Run players. Online interaction can create real-world risks, so never use a public nickname to share personal information or arrange contact outside the game.

Aether Run can rank a player using an automatically generated nickname that does not require personal information. Free-form custom public nicknames are an adult-managed feature. An adult must enable that feature on the browser or device before a player can publish a custom nickname, and it can be disabled again from the same leaderboard controls.

The adult-control date of birth is checked locally to determine whether the control can be enabled. The full date of birth is not stored or sent to Aether Run.

Moderation

Aether Run may reject a nickname before publication. Players can report a public leaderboard entry and can block another public leaderboard player so that entry is hidden on their device. Mistrail Games reviews moderation reports and may remove a nickname or leaderboard entry that violates these rules, and may restrict the associated anonymous leaderboard identity from publishing further entries.

Automated filters are only one safeguard and do not replace human review. A nickname that passes an automated check can still be removed after a report or later review.

Reports and misuse

Use the in-game Report control for genuine Community Rules violations. Repeated intentionally false or abusive reports may be disregarded. Reports do not include a free-text message; they contain the selected reason and the relevant leaderboard record so the report can be reviewed.

Changes

If these rules materially change, Aether Run can require acceptance of a new version before another nickname is published. Continued ordinary gameplay does not require joining the public leaderboard.
